In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, we sought to ensure the recovery plan acknowledged deep inequities in housing quality and building violations. The population we serve consist of those are survivors of Hurricane Katrina but also people who have historically struggled to secure housing void of code violations. Our goal was to make sure that Houston's recovery plan built the city back to be better than before and simply make our communities whole.
