Claire Downing is a seasoned nonprofit and philanthropic professional with a track record of building capacity with communities impacted by the War on Terror, structural Islamophobia, and human rights abuses. She specializes inĀ advising and partnering with nonprofits and funders to achieve their goals in racial equity, learning and evaluation, program strategy, and more. Claire is a community builder, connector, educator, advocate, and conflict resolver whose work centers on empathy, healing, and creativity. Claire has worked in racial equity consulting, in philanthropy with BAMEMSA communities (Black, African, Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian), and supported nonprofits building organizational capacity. Claire is a former Young Professionals in Foreign Policy Human Rights Fellow and a current PhD candidate in conflict analysis and resolution.
