Dian Nostikasari

Dr. Nostikasari is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences can empathize with the experiences and perspectives of others. She has led projects in Dallas, Houston, Des Moines, and Jakarta across a range of applications, including sustainable transportation, community development, equity mapping, and environmental justice. Dian engages in interdisciplinary approaches to strengthen connections between the production of the built environment and access to socioeconomic opportunities, as well as other dimensions of the lived experience. Other projects in sustainable transportation include designing and managing surveys for engineers, planners, and public health professionals, as well as developing app-based crowdsourcing tools to collect safety data and encourage walking, biking, and public transit use for improved public health outcomes.
