Kim Logan

Chief of Research, Learning, and Evaluation

Bio

Kim Logan (she/her/hers) is the Chief of Research, Learning and Evaluation of Azimu Group. Kim’s passion lies in being the loudest voice to bust the Data Objectivity Myth by helping folx understand the value of diversity of thought due to how our identities influence what matters to us in our interactions with data. Kim is also passionate about increasing leadership capacity to dismantle systemic inequities in both the outcomes and the experiences of those they are stewards of.

Kim graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S. in Criminology with a concentration in Corrections. Kim also earned a Master’s in Public Administration degree from the University of North Florida with a concentration in Public Policy.

Kim’s career focus is on doing data from a liberatory standpoint to minimize the harm data have historically done to racialized and minoritized communities via its weaponization; to collect the smallest amount of data possible to avoid unnecessary colonial extraction; to measure what counts and not just what is easy to measure; to conduct assessments that are reliable and valid; and to arm communities with their own data to validate their experiences to those wielding power over their lives.
